Big Guy Small Dog Blog: bringing you cute big guy small dog combos since 2010 👊. I was only too happy to be side tracked by this gorgeous duo as the dying embers of summer settled on Portobello Road one Friday afternoon last October.

Yes, its taken me 3 months to post this picture. No, I can’t recall their names. Yes, we laughed our heads off for a good while before heading our separate ways into Autumn.  There is much joy to be had from chatting with ‘strangers’. 🐶

'You won’t be able to spit in New York for big guys with small dogs' they said. Turns out they were telling the truth. Today (amongst others) I encountered the very English sounding Reggie with his two little dogs, Rania and Milo.

Semi cheat: they are Reggie’s girlfriend’s dogs but in extenuating circumstances I decided to feature them on Big Guy Small Dog Blog.

No he does not. ‘I am secure in my sexuality’ he said. And so he was.

Big Guy Small Dog Blog has been larging it on a little Greek Island - and working hard to disprove the theory that Greek men are too macho to own small dogs. Owner of my favourite café in the world and Aiandas, a cheeky little Yorkshire terrier, the lovely Spiros was only too happy to pose for a picture.

His reason for owning a small dog? In a word, space. He doesn't have much of it. He then went on to tell me that he owns 3 dogs and 4 cats.  

Richmond Riverside, London

 

This is Billy, The Dog Man of Richmond. So called because he had not one, but four little dogs.

I also thought it might be the first (and last) time that I die on the job. The moment I got my camera out and started snapping, so did they. Imagine that, death by small dog. I only got 3 of them in the picture before the crowd turned on me. But before that, the very charming Billy told me that he liked these little critters (Dexter, Alfie, Kenzo and Tula) because they are ‘easy to transport’ and ‘you can’t tire them out’.

I believed the last bit as I limped away.
